A parametric LCA and cost model was used to analyse customer behavior effects on GHG emissions, primary energy, water use, and cost between primary reusable container and single use containers. Results showed reusable containers tended to have lower impacts across most metrics than comparable single use containers, however the beneficial differences were sensitive to variations to excess customer transportation and at-home container washing practices.
